Many churches misinterpret relevance as knowing the latest pop culture phrases, music artists, and fashion. Unfortunately, this makes churches seem fake and out of touch. True relevance comes when churches can effectively interpret the cultural changes in their community and fashion the Gospel in such a way that it speaks directly to needs and issues that the community faces.
