The Big Idea can help you creatively present one laser-focused theme each week to be discussed in families and small groups. It shows how to engage in a process of creative collaboration that brings people together and maximizes missional impact and can energize a church staff and bring alignment and focus to many diverse church ministries.
This workshop is intended to help you begin to prepare to enact a Big Idea in your church. While this task is one that will be very time consuming, you’ll actually save some time over the course of this year and in the meantime, greatly improve the quality of your services. Not to mention, you will create an environment that promotes life transformation and growth.
Dave Ferguson is a visionary pastor, a struggling prodigal, and an innovative pioneer – sometimes, all at once. He is the lead pastor of Community Christian Church, with 13 campuses in Chicago area; the founder of New Thing, a catalyst for movements of reproducing churches; and the president of Exponential, a community of leaders and a nationwide conference dedicated to accelerating church multiplication. He is also the author or co-author of three print books (“The Big Idea,” “Exponential” and “On the Verge”) and two e-books (“Keeping Score” and “Discover Your Mission Now”).
